Due to expanding business we currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Workshop Manager to lead our hardworking team in Tongala, Victoria.

The Tongala Workshop Manager is responsible for ensuring McColl’s fleet of prime movers and tankers are maintained to McColl’s Transport’s standards, in accordance with all relevant legislation and regulations. With a focus on managing all aspects of their workshop, the Tongala Workshop Manager will be held accountable for the timely servicing and quality of work performed at their workshop, as well as driving a positive culture amongst their team. Some of your day-today responsibilities will include:

•Co-ordinating the delivering of timely and efficient Workshop Operations and fleet support, aligned with divisional standards and direction, budgetary requirements and asset maximisation.

• Providing operational support to deliver ‘service excellence’ in alignment with business expectations and legislative requirements.

• Oversee and support Workshop Operations through the co-ordination and management of procurement, repair, delivery and recovery of plant & equipment.

• Management of stock and stock controls aligned with divisional standards and budgets.

• Liaising with external stakeholders and suppliers to ensure the execution of efficient Workshop Operations.

To be Successful You will bring:

  • Current Trade/Diesel Mechanic Certificate OR Light Vehicle Mechanic Certificate
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in a fast paced workshop environment
  • Cummins/Volvo experience (preferred)
  • Welding experience
  • Prior BPW, SAF, Hendrickson suspension experience
  • Prior experience servicing fleet equipment
  • A strong focus on doing the job safely and compliantly
