About the role

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Trainee Manager to kick start their career within transport and logistics, based in Cobden (VIC).

Working closely with the Operations Manager and our experienced operations team, this is a fantastic pathway position with a strong training focus.

The key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Supporting the Operations Manager with co-ordinating day to day Operations;
  • Assisting and supporting our workforce of drivers;
  • Performing all relevant administrative functions, such as ensuring that site specific inductions, training, performance records and required paperwork is reviewed and completed accordingly;
  • Investigating on road incidents and customer complaints;
  • Troubleshooting on road issues to ensure the problem is resolved efficiently;
  • Maintaining a safety-first operation and adhering to all WHS requirements, while furthering the safety culture through Safety Management Systems and reporting;
  • Strong customer interaction, including maintaining good working relationships and responding to all enquiries in a timely manner;

About you

The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic team player and eager to be trained and developed in all aspects of our fast-paced day to day Operations.

In addition, we are looking for a self-starter with a “can do” attitude who is not afraid to roll up their sleeves to get the job done in this hands-on role.

To be successful in this dynamic role you will have:

  • A strong work ethic and customer focus;
  • Eagerness to learn;
  • Ability to work within a team environment, as well as unsupervised;
  • Excellent customer service skills, communication, written and interpersonal skills;
  • Completed Year 12 VCE or equivalent study;
  • A current drivers’ licence and be prepared to upgrade to a truck licence;
  • Strong time management and organisational skills;
  • Strong numerical skills and problem-solving capabilities;
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills including Excel and Word.
