ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

To support our business growth, we have a newly created opportunity for a Talent Acquisition Specialist. This role will be part of the People & Culture team, reporting directly to the P&C General Manager.

This full-time, Geelong based opportunity will partner the various business functions to deliver all facets of talent acquisition. This is a demanding role that will oversee and manage recruitment process, strategy and planning, as well all internal recruitment nationally. With the support of a co-ordinator, the role will require an operational and strategically minded individual who can confidently manage the demands of volume and corporate recruitment.

The role will;

  • Manage the end-to-end recruitment and talent acquisition process.
  • Identify and create talent pipelines in line with planned business development
  • Provide high-level engagement with candidates and stakeholders.
  • Proactively seek opportunities to attract and maintain a talent pool for current and future roles.
  • Manage the McColl’s Graduate Program
  • Develop, implement and maintain the Recruitment Strategy in alignment with business objectives.
  • Utilising your experience, and stakeholder engagement, evaluate candidates’ skills, capabilities and cultural fit to ensure suitability for each role.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement through operational and strategic projects/initiatives.
  • Continue to build our employer brand, hiring strategies and candidate experience.
  • Report on market trends and shifts and make business critical recommendations to support future growth.
  • Utilise data / market insights to support and influence hiring decisions and broader talent acquisition discussions.

 

ABOUT YOU 

You will be a passionate and engaging individual who promotes and builds our market brand in talent acquisition. With a sound understanding of business operations, you will partner internal stakeholders to deliver all recruitment needs in a past paced and at times ambiguous environment.

To be successful in this dynamic role you will have:

  • Extensive Talent acquisition experience preferably in a high-volume environment
  • The ability to identify target candidate markets, appropriate sourcing strategies and research methodologies to actively build talent pipelines
  • Ability to build solid relationships with business stakeholders
  • A sound understanding of the market and ability to proactively source
  • Excellent systems knowledge and utilisation
  • Ability to work as part of a busy team and autonomously when required.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to present information and make recommendations effectively in oral and written form.
  • High level organization and time management skills.
  • Be a self-starter with a can-do attitude.
  • Facilitate and support all recruitment functions to deliver business efficiency.
