As a result of business growth, our dairy planning team is growing! We are looking for motivated and safety focused Transport Specialists that thrive to drive efficiencies for operations, develop a deep understanding of the regional challenges and have a genuine interest to deliver business imperatives for day to day operations. The role is full-time, and ideally based in Geelong.
Joining our Dairy Optimisation Planning team, this role will entail but is not limited to:
- Maintaining the master data used for route optimisation;
- Optimisation of routes on a day-to-day basis to produce safe and efficient runs;
- Working with Operations Managers to ensure optimised routes meet various business rules including vehicle, geographical and time constraints;
- Liaising with Farm suppliers and Operations Managers to accommodate changes to collection patterns;
- Liaising with customers to plan and adjust factory delivery schedules;
- Maintenance of the milk collection database to enable daily customer reporting and internal invoicing;
- Reconciliation of variances between planned routes and collections and actual routes and collections;
- Documentation of systemic route optimisation issues and work alongside staff and software vendor to resolve them.
To be successful in this dynamic role you will have:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- The ability to work within a team environment as well as autonomously.
- A high level of computer literacy and attention to detail.
- A solid understanding of OH&S and Chain of Responsibility Regulations.
- The ability to work on a rotating roster, such as such as 5 days-on/2 days-off/5 days-on/4 days-off or similar.
- An undergraduate Degree in Supply Chain Management and Logistics, or similar, will be highly regarded.
