Preparing for COVID-19

It has been another uncertain week in the world.  In the face of difficult times, the McColl’s team across business units and functions has pulled together to prepare us for what lies ahead.   The resourcefulness, energy, and cooperation has been fantastic.  A lot has happened since last week:

Most office based team members are set-up to work remotely;

We have new standard operating procedures (SOPs) for cleaning trucks and high activity sites;

We have SOPs for customer site visits;

We have a business continuity plan in place for IT, administration and operations;

We have updated policies to reflect government advice on meetings, travel and how to handle self-isolation.

Our focus over the coming months:

Keep the trucks running;

Schedule the work efficiently (this is not a time to drive a truck home empty);

Invoice the work quickly and accurately- payroll and suppliers are critical;

Keep a constant watch on commercial terms to remove low value work.

What you can do:

Please read and follow the driver SOPs;

Be careful with supplies due to shortages;

Help each other;

Let us know if you need support;

Stay connected with team members.
